Position Overview

A privately held industrial services organization is seeking an experienced EPC Project Leader to provide strategic, technical, financial, and operational leadership for complex capital projects supporting industrial water and process treatment systems.

This role owns full project execution from engineering and procurement through construction, commissioning, and turnover, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget. The position interfaces closely with engineering, operations, and private industrial clients to deliver reliable, production-critical water infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

Provide overall leadership for EPC project execution, including technical, operational, financial, and team oversight

Ensure projects align with organizational objectives, revising execution plans as needed to maintain scope, schedule, and cost control

Oversee all phases of project implementation, including planning, engineering coordination, procurement, construction execution, and commissioning

Manage treatment system design and integration, including pumping, storage, piping, process equipment, and automation interfaces

Ensure project scope, deliverables, schedules, and design documentation are clearly defined and properly controlled

Track changes, manage added costs, and maintain disciplined change management practices

Serve as the primary point of contact for engineering-related project matters, delegating appropriately across disciplines

Build, train, and lead cross-functional project teams, assigning clear roles and holding teams accountable for performance

Negotiate or oversee procurement of equipment, materials, and subcontracted services

Develop and manage project budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting

Provide regular updates to internal leadership and private industrial clients on project status, risks, and performance

Work closely with engineering, operations, and technical specialists to support safe and efficient execution within active industrial environments

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field

10+ years of experience in a project leadership role within an EPC or industrial project environment

Proven experience leading capital projects supporting industrial water, process treatment, or infrastructure systems

Strong understanding of interdisciplinary coordination across process, mechanical, electrical, and controls disciplines

Demonstrated ability to manage schedules, budgets, vendors, and subcontractors on technically complex projects

Willingness and ability to travel up to 50%

Additional Requirements

Ability to successfully complete pre-employment background, medical, alcohol, and drug screening

Valid driver’s license

This position may involve work in operating industrial facilities and field environments. Exposure to varying weather conditions, elevated noise levels, and active construction or production areas may occur.
