Customer Service Representative
Base pay range: $20.00/hr - $23.00/hr
Company : Internationally recognized Biopharmaceutical Company focusing on the Research, Development and Manufacturing of cell culture products.
About the Role The Customer Service Representative will be responsible for taking and processing customer orders; responding to technical inquiries; following up on sales leads, and providing competent and enthusiastic customer service.
Responsibilities
Entering purchase orders received by telephone, mail, fax, email and website, using an on-line order entry system.
Investigating and answering inquiries regarding the status of an order using an on-line computer order entry system.
Receiving, registering, and processing customer order and shipment related complaints by writing up forms and using the computer to process returns, replacements, and/or requests for credit.
Setting up and managing scheduled standing orders, on an on-line order entry system. This includes follow‑up with Pricing Representative for quote renewal.
Answering basic technical inquiries received by customers.
Working well as a team, demonstrating a positive and professional demeanor.
Prioritizing work and meeting deadlines.
Providing exceptional customer service in all verbal and written correspondence with customers to address all their needs.
Corresponding in a timely manner to high volume of email correspondence from internal and external customers.
Verifying and checking inventory records to properly determine availability of requested product and provides order status updates for backorders.
Supporting Customer Service new customer set up, customer action requests, order entry and phone coverage.
Other duties as assigned or needed relevant to job function and skills.
Qualifications
HS Diploma or equivalent.
3 years or more of customer service experience in an order entry department with a proven ability to resolve problems, achieve results and provide excellent customer service.
Required Skills
Working knowledge of general office procedures and strong customer service skills.
Working knowledge or basic calculator functions.
Ability to present a positive and team‑oriented demeanor to all internal and external contacts.
A strong attention to details.
Ability to learn business requirements and use data systems to meet job requirements.
Proficiency in Outlook, Word and Excel.
Experience using an on-line order entry system.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work under pressure.
