Transmission Line Analyst
Dice is the leading career destination for tech experts and our client, Denken Solutions, is seeking a Transmission Line Analyst to support the operating company's transmission capital project program.
A Transmission Analyst is responsible for facilitating project close‑out processes, working closely with engineering, supply chain, property accounting, project management, construction, and compliance departments to review and reconcile charges against the scope of work completed and ensure proper closure of projects once they are placed in service.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the capital project close‑out process on behalf of the Transmission Engineering organization in adherence to the transmission capital project close‑out management procedure.
Research and resolve variances between actuals and estimates.
Close capital projects and track close‑out status.
Provide business reports and maintain proper documentation.
Develop and leverage customer‑focused relationships with all stakeholders involved in the design and construction of transmission projects.
Perform data analysis to facilitate process improvements and develop best practices.
Qualifications
Education
– Two‑year degree from a technical school or university with related work experience is required; bachelor’s degree in engineering or engineering technology preferred.
Experience
– Prior experience managing power utility transmission capital projects is preferred; experience in transmission line design and/or construction is strongly preferred.
Knowledge
– Familiarity with line design, construction, operation and/or maintenance; working knowledge of materials used in the construction of transmission line projects; understanding of line construction scope, equipment, materials and associated costs.
Technical Skills
– Experience with TEAMS (Transmission Estimating and Management System), Maximo, Vault and/or PowerPlan is a plus.
Analytical Skills
– Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office products with the ability to manage and analyze large sets of transaction data.
Teamwork
– Collaboration and teamwork skills; effective communication; time management and organizational skills to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines.
