Tech Control Facility (TCF) Operations, Lead
Geospatial and Cloud Analytics (GCA) is seeking a
Tech Control Facility (TCF) Operations Lead
to oversee the day‑to‑day performance, operational readiness, and modernization of TCFs and supporting infrastructure at a federal client site.
The Tech Control Facility Operations Lead will ensure the continuous availability of secure communications across all classification levels, provide leadership to Tier II and Tier III technical teams, and ensure strict adherence to DISAC 310‑175‑9 and all applicable standards. The selected individual will work closely with internal stakeholders and senior Government leadership to manage, maintain, and enhance mission‑critical network assets.
Primary Responsibilities
Direct and oversee daily operations within the Tech Control Facility (TCF).
Supervise Tier II Help Desk and Tier III technical support personnel to ensure SLA compliance.
Ensure high availability and operational integrity of network components, including switches, encryption devices, circuits, and consoles.
Manage incident response workflows, technical troubleshooting, and resolution efforts.
Maintain accurate and current documentation, SOPs, and operational logs.
Lead activities related to the maintenance and restoration of transmission paths and facilities.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in an IT‑related field or a minimum of 5 years of equivalent experience.
At least 5 years managing and operating cryptographic facilities.
Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD) certification.
DoD IAT Level II certification (e.g., CompTIA Security+).
Active Top‑Secret clearance with SCI eligibility required at start.
Required Experience and Skills
Proven ability to manage the operational health of Tech Control Facilities.
Hands‑on experience with Tech Control systems, including switches, encryption hardware, consoles, and telecommunications circuits.
Demonstrated experience supervising personnel in environments of similar size and complexity.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interface effectively with senior management and government officials.
In‑depth knowledge of Tier II Help Desk operations and compliance with DISAC 310‑175‑9 standards.
Ability to lead technical direction, coordination, and resolution efforts necessary to maintain robust and resilient communications infrastructure.
