Brent Council is seeking an experienced Team Manager (Community Opportunities) to join their Adult Social Care – Direct Services team on an initial 4-month contract.
This is a key leadership role within community-based services supporting adults with Learning Disabilities and/or Autism, across day services and supported living settings.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage team leaders, care/support staff and support staff
Oversee the safe and effective delivery of community and day services
Ensure compliance with CQC regulations, safeguarding, and health & safety requirements
Manage and develop person-centred support plans and positive behaviour approaches
Work closely with service users, families, carers and professionals
Monitor service quality, manage risk, and respond to complex situations
Manage budgets and contribute to service development and improvement
Essential Experience
Significant experience within Adult Social Care, particularly Learning Disabilities and/or Autism
Proven management experience within day services, supported living, or community services
Strong knowledge of CQC, safeguarding, risk management and positive behaviour support
Experience managing staff, performance, and service delivery
Ability to work within a pressured, operational environment
Additional Information
Enhanced DBS (Adults) required
Experience within a local authority or similar public sector setting is highly desirable
