Job Title

Responsibilities
Performs phlebotomy duties. Those duties include tracking blood draw and urine specimen testing intervals and ensuring specimens are collected and submitted in a timely manner. Prepares blood and urine specimens for transport to reference laboratories, prints finalized results as well as keep track of overdue results. Maintains phlebotomy supplies.
Performs donor desk duties. Donor desk duties include checking in donors by ensuring donors are properly identified, verifying specimen cups are accurately labeled.
Coordinates with the Laboratory Manager or Laboratory Supervisor the additional needs of the laboratory which may include but are not limited to scanning and filing donor worksheets and manifests
Performs laboratory duties including media aliquoting, quality control checks, routine cleaning of laboratory equipment
Complies with all regulatory, quality assurance, quality control, standard operating, and safety procedures.
Participate in proficiency and competency assessments.
Maintains demonstrated proficiency with all applicable Standard Operating Procedures.
Cleans and disinfects various areas of the operation as assigned
Maintains donor supplies, refreshments/snacks.
Provides administrative support by answering phones, taking messages as necessary, scheduling donor appointments
Files and enters data into applicable company databases, updates assessment table.
Follows up on outstanding/overdue results.
Conducts quality control checks on canes/vials.
As business needs dictate, work extended hours to complete daily department goals or tasks to include mandatory overtime.
Other duties and projects as needed and required.

Computer Skills: Knowledge of MS Word and Excel
Other Skills and Abilities: Excellent customer service skills; strong attention to detail; ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously; high level of interpersonal skills to interact with peers and management; excellent organizational skills; ability to maintain confidentiality; and ability to travel as needed.
Other Qualifications: Familiarity with laboratory and medical terminology.

Experience:
0-2 Years of experience performing phlebotomy.
Education:
Phlebotomy Certificate, where applicable, and GED or High School Diploma required; bachelor's degree in science, preferred but not required.

For U.S. locations that require disclosure of compensation, the starting base pay for this role is between $18.5 - $24 per hour. The actual base pay includes many factors, and is subject to change and modification in the future. This position may also be eligible for other types of compensation and benefits.
