Entry Level Assemblers (Operators/Technicians)

We are seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented Wafer Process Technician and Chip Operators to support the manufacturing of compound semiconductor devices (e.g., InP, GaAs). The ideal candidate will work in a cleanroom environment, operating and maintaining fabrication equipment, handling wafers and chemicals, and ensuring process integrity across key production steps. This role is critical to supporting high-yield, high-reliability semiconductor production and works closely with engineering and quality teams.

Job Responsibilities

  • Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) to conduct manufacturing activities of compound semiconductor wafers in cleanroom conditions.
  • Perform manufacturing tasks on high-tech and delicate equipment for semiconductor manufacturing, e.g., track coater, PECVD, grinder, AFM, SEM, WI, confocal microscope, robot, etc.
  • Work on wet benches or automatic wet tanks. Handle chemicals or chemical solutions for manufacturing purposes and dispose the wastes, e.g., acids (BOE, H2SO4), base, solvents, photoresists, etc.
  • Support equipment maintenance by performing routine PM (e.g., chamber clean) and equipment checks.
  • Identify deviations and discrepancies during process, document and report, and assist with investigation.
  • Fulfill urgent customer demand. Support new product introduction and continuous improvement activities.
  • Quality requirements related to hazardous materials and cleanroom operations.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1-3 years of experience in manufacturing industries, especially semiconductor industry, is preferred.
  • Basic computer and Office skills.
  • Steady hand. Strong attention to details.
  • Follow supervision and instructions. Good communication and teamwork. Good time management, multi-tasking, and organized.
  • Required to wear cleanroom suit during work in cleanroom. Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required for chemical related tasks.
  • May be required to sit or stand in prolonged periods of time.
  • May be required to lift heavy objects up to 25 lbs.
  • Must be currently authorized to work in the US.
