This role provides direct support to agency hiring managers in all phases of recruitment, from position posting through onboarding. The position ensures hiring practices are compliant with state policies and merit-based hiring standards. In addition to recruitment, this role supports position and classification documentation and guides salary recommendations in alignment with equity and compensation policies. This position plays a critical role in attracting, hiring, and onboarding qualified candidates while maintaining compliance with OSHR guidelines and supporting the Department’s strategic workforce goals.**Knowledge Skills and Abilities/Management Preferences*** Post, screen, refer to the most qualified candidates, and close the posting for all positions subject to subject and exempt from State Human Resources Act* Coordinate temporary hires with Temporary Solutions and external staffing agencies* Conducting orientation and attending career fairs* Create and follow recruitment processes, Standard Operating Procedures, and process flows* Create, analyze, and maintain recruitment data using the Applicant Tracking System (Workday), Excel, and other systems as required.* Prepare candidate qualifications and salary review worksheets* Respond to management requests for turnover and offer suggestions/alternatives at any time to improve the successful recruitment of candidates.* Establish collaborative recruiting rapport with hiring managers and supervisors to understand and anticipate future departmental needs and determine recruitment efforts to focus on minimizing position fill time.* Independently apply and defend procedures regarding applicant eligibility and awarding priority status, and communicate this well with hiring managers.* Assist and coach management in creating interview questions and participate in the interview process as requested, and assist in identifying the best sources and resources for finding excellent candidates.* Coordinate external recruitment efforts with public contact through education establishments, civic groups, community college and university placement programs, military, career fairs, etc., to build strong candidate pools for vacant positions.* Assist with entering PA/OM actions into Fiori, previously known as Beacon.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities / Competencies:- Experience in processing actions in the FIORI system, previously known as Beacon- Proficiency with recruitment actions in Workday- Demonstrated understanding of salary administration principles and setting of salaries- Experience creating PowerPoint presentations and presenting to internal and external audiences**Minimum Education and Experience**Some state job postings say you can qualify by an “equivalent combination of education and experience.” If that language appears below, then you may qualify through EITHER years of education OR years of directly related experience, OR a combination of both.
