Certified American Sign Language Interpreter (Rome, NY) Position Description: Job duties include providing onsite and VRI ASL Interpretation services for deaf employees of the Defense Finance Accounting Service satellite office in Rome, NY. Meetings and events will occur during the hours of 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday. Interpreters will be notified of upcoming meetings with as little as 24 hours, but as much as two weeks' notice. Interpreters will work in a 1099 Independent Contractor status and will be paid between $60 - 70 hourly up to 400 hours annually. Event Types: Commemorative programs Safety talks / training Discussions on work procedures, policies, or assignments for formal and informal settings Quarterly performance discussions Disciplinary discussions Basic staff training / classroom training Interviews All hands meetings Other AD-HOC assignments similar in nature on an as needed basis Required Qualifications: National Certification: NIC, NAD IV or higher, CI, or CT Over the age of 18 and legally authorized to work in the United States Possess reliable transportation to the service location and/or Computer with Internet connection #J-18808-Ljbffr
