Job Overview
The General Manager (GM) is responsible for running a profitable restaurant and ensuring that it meets McDonald’s critical customer standards of Quality, Service, and Cleanliness. The GM works with a leader to set restaurant goals and create a plan to achieve them. This role requires strong leadership, communication, and operational skills.
Responsibilities
Run a profitable restaurant while meeting McDonald’s standards for Quality, Service, and Cleanliness.
Work with the leader to set goals and develop a plan to achieve them.
Lead a team of Department Managers, providing coaching and direction to help them set and achieve their own departmental goals.
Support Department and Shift Managers by hiring and developing staff, ensuring the restaurant has the right team to lead into the future.
Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of management experience.
Prior GM experience running high‑volume quick‑service restaurants is strongly desired.
Background in hospitality or retail is an advantage.
Must be 18 years or older to be a manager in our corporate‑owned and operated restaurants.
