Andworx is seeking a Senior Software Tester with a passion for quality assurance and testing applications to join a team supporting our Federal Government customer with a national security mission located in Washington, DC. As Senior Software Tester, you will write test scripts, test cases, and run tests with a focus on .NET testing using Microsoft Azure DevOps. You will also perform integration and regression testing as needed, working directly with developers, the customer, and stakeholders.

This position requires 5 days per week of on-site work at our customer’s location in Washington, DC. Candidates must be within a commutable distance to the Washington, DC Metro area. We are seeking either 1099 or W-2 candidates.

Requirements

• 8‑10 years of experience in software quality assurance and testing.
• Strong knowledge of software quality assurance and testing methodologies, processes, tools, and best practices.
• Prior experience in a .NET software development environment, with experience in Microsoft Azure DevOps (previously Team Foundation Server).
• Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
• Ability to write testing scripts, with testing automation experience preferred.
• Experience working in an Agile environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to peers, customers, and stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s Degree, or the equivalent combination of education, professional training, or work experience.
• Successfully obtain and maintain a Public Trust background security investigation and meet eligibility requirements for access to sensitive information.
• US citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide testing support for new or existing software solutions.
• Analyze and refine system requirements to construct user stories, software test plans, test steps, and test cases.
• Execute functional, integration, and regression tests.
• Work with the customer to test applications; assure software and systems quality and functionality; integrate hardware and software components.
• Write and maintain software documentation.
• Report software defects with clear and repeatable steps to support defect resolution.
• Evaluate and implement new software testing technologies, frameworks, and methodologies.
• Own the full software testing lifecycle from requirements gathering through to integration and regression testing.
• Participate in an Agile development environment.
