Our factory in Crete, Nebraska stands as one of the largest manufacturers in the area and one of the largest wet pet food manufacturing facilities in the U.S. Together, we proudly produce over one thousand tons of pet food per day, including renowned brands such as Alpo, Nestl Purina ONE, Pro Plan, Friskies, and Nestl Purina Veterinary Diets. As a Waste Treatment Boiler Room Utility, you will operate waste treatment equipment in the Primary and Secondary systems. You will take control tests on operation parameters while operating secondary system and adjust operation based on results. This position will be on 2nd shift (3pm-11pm) and will work a 12-2 schedule (working every other weekend). Starting pay - $33.66 / hour.

Responsibilities include: running pH, suspended solids, and settleometer tests on aeration basin water and sample for micro biological activity; taking water, soil, sewage, and solids samples and determining moisture content on sludge and slurry samples; taking proper precautions and using proper protective equipment when working around hazardous chemicals and other recognized workplace hazards; loading and unloading chemicals and supplies and completing receiving of chemicals and supplies; keeping accurate logs and records of daily activities; troubleshooting system problems, diagnosis difficulties and communicating with Maintenance/Engineering departments to make necessary repairs; obtaining a Waste Treatment Operator Level 2 license through the State of Nebraska within 6 months of employment; performing all job duties in a safe and efficient manner; and other duties as assigned.
Requirements include: 1+ years in production, manufacturing, agriculture, industrial, military, or related environment. Background or training in chemistry, biology, or water systems and forklift experience are preferred, but not required.
