This position must integrate company values into daily practice./ppJob Duties include, but are not limited to:/pulliProvides administrative support for all employees within an assigned nursing unit. Performs administrative activities in compliance with all regulations./liliMaintains and updates paperwork such as patient records, charts, discharge orders, etc./liliAnswers the telephone, determines the nature of the call and appropriately relays information within the Hospital as necessary, and answers call lights from nurses stations./liliRelays patient requests to appropriate personnel and gives directions/information to visitors, guests, patients/residents, doctors, sales representatives, etc./liliEnsures timeliness of laboratory, radiology and other tests ordered for the patients./liliMaintains and operates equipment safely and correctly. Maintains department cleanliness and safety./liliProvides an environment conducive to safety for patients, visitors, and staff. Assesses the risks for safety and implements appropriate precautions. Complies with appropriate and approved safety and Infection Prevention standards./liliMaintains regular attendance in keeping with assigned work schedule./li/ulpRequirements for consideration:/pulliHigh school diploma or GED required/liliOne year of clerical or administrative assistant experience preferred/liliTwo (2) years experience in health care setting preferred/liliMust maintain acceptable driving record, current drivers license, and insurability./lipPhysical Requirements Over the Course of a Shift:/pulliA significant amount of standing, walking, bending, reaching, pushing, and pulling, sometimes for prolonged periods of time./liliBoth gross and precise motor functions./liliLifting/exerting of up to 25 lbs./liliPossible exposure to bodily fluids./liliVisual acuity required for patient assessment and documentation of care./liliAcute hearing required for accurate patient assessment./liliSufficient manual dexterity to operate equipment and computer keyboard./li/ulpWe value our employees skills, talents and input.
