A well-established and growing manufacturing company is seeking a hands-on Assistant Production Manager to join their leadership team at their Wheeling, IL facility. This is a newly created role designed to support plant operations and drive production performance. You’ll report directly to the Production Manager and play a key role in coordinating schedules, improving processes, and supporting a dynamic production team.

What You’ll Do:
- Oversee and manage daily production schedules, ensuring alignment with operational goals
- Monitor and improve productivity and efficiency metrics
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to maintain a smooth and continuous production flow
- Identify and resolve production challenges in real-time
- Support a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement
What You’ll Bring:
- 10+ years of production management experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong leadership and team development skills with a hands-on, solutions-focused mindset
- Proficiency in production management software and tools
- Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management (preferred) or equivalent experience
- Bilingual fluency in Spanish and English strongly preferred
- Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting
