Scrap Metal Buyer
We are seeking an experienced Scrap Metal Buyer with hands‑on experience in both scrap metal and electronic scrap (e‑scrap) purchasing. This hybrid role can be structured as full‑time or part‑time, depending on the candidate’s availability and experience. Responsibilities
The buyer will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and managing suppliers to ensure consistent material flow, competitive pricing, and compliance with company and regulatory standards. Qualifications
Source and purchase ferrous, non‑ferrous scrap metals, and electronic scrap from suppliers, recyclers, and industrial generators Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing vendors Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and material specifications to maximize margins Evaluate material quality, grades, and yield; track market trends and pricing movements Coordinate with logistics and operations teams on pickups, deliveries, and inventory planning Review and manage purchase documentation including contracts, POs, BOLs, and packing lists Monitor supplier performance and resolve quality, quantity, or delivery issues Seniority Level
