Full-Time Assistant Manager – Cinemark
As an Assistant Manager at Cinemark, you will support the overall operation of the theatre, ensuring policies and procedures are followed and operational standards achieved. You will be cross‑trained in all departments, provide training to employees, and may progress to Senior Assistant Manager, Theatre Manager, or General Manager after completing the Management Accreditation Program.
Role Summary Cinemark Assistant Managers assist in theatre operations, enforce policies, provide training, and support the General Manager in all tasks.
Responsibilities
Follow direction of the General Manager and support GM decisions in staff communication
Work across all departments and theatre functions
Train and coach team members in their specific job functions
Assist in administrative and special reporting
Inspect theatre building, parking, landscaping, property, roof, signage, and equipment
Report repair needs to the General Manager
Ensure dress code compliance
Interact with guests for superior service
Implement policies and procedures and enforce them fairly
Report employee relations issues per protocol
Maintain high work ethic and conduct standards
Sanitize high‑contact areas consistently
Use personal protective equipment and adapt to cleaning tasks
Address safety or security issues (trip hazards, lighting, suspicious persons, etc.)
Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements
Minimum 18 years of age
High School or GED graduate preferred
Complete three core courses in Cinemark’s Management Accreditation Program (Management Foundations, Annual Certifications, MAP Core)
Complete basic food‑handling training and obtain required local or state certifications (health card, food handlers permit, etc.)
Safe Alcohol Service training completed for those working with alcohol
Availability for flexible hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays
Consistent attendance required
Energetic and friendly attitude
Excellent guest service and cash handling skills
Strong communication skills in English (verbal & written)
Team‑player with ability to work independently
Responsive to direction with a sense of urgency
Strong time‑management, organizational, and attention‑to‑detail skills
Ability to train and lead others
Conflict resolution skills
Physical and Environmental Requirements
Frequent bending, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 lb.
Frequent standing, walking, and reaching within the theatre
Noise level may be moderate to high at times
Must be able to stand for extended periods
