Isolate Reactor Operator (Protein Operator)
Location: Le Sueur, Minnesota. Position: Regular full‑time. Seniority Level: Entry level.
Job Overview Responsible for safe and efficient operation, sanitation and maintenance of the isolate reactor and related equipment in the BiPro department.
Key Responsibilities
Operate equipment and control processes in the production of high‑quality whey products.
Complete CIP of equipment and troubleshoot machinery as needed.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation.
Follow GMP, SOP and HACCP programs.
Monitor processes, materials or surroundings and review information by phone, in writing or in person.
Identify information accurately by categorizing, estimating and recognizing changes or deviations.
Perform operator‑level maintenance as needed.
Train new or other employees.
Adhere to all Quality Assurance policies and report any potential food safety issues immediately.
Execute advanced startup and shutdown procedures of equipment.
Operate state‑of‑the‑art equipment involved with protein isolation.
Regulate production factors such as solids, temperature and pH; adjust to meet set points.
Take frequent readings and log up to 50 variables per hour.
Clean and sanitize all areas of the Protein Department according to a Master Sanitation schedule.
Understand and troubleshoot product flow.
Additional Duties
May involve operation of a Critical Control Point as determined by plant HACCP/Food Safety Plans.
Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices and Standard Operating Procedures.
Support safety policies and programs.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred).
Minimum two (2) years of experience in a related field (preferred).
No certification or licensure required.
Attention to detail and accuracy in work.
Ability to scope tasks, set objectives, schedule and anticipate problems.
Effective verbal and written communication with managers and colleagues.
Basic computer operational skills; input and retrieve computerized information.
Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
Work with minimum supervision, adapt quickly to a changing environment and think independently.
Work in a fast‑paced environment.
Follow written, verbal and diagrammatic instructions; complete simple checklists and required documentation.
Strong organizational and time‑management skills.
Problem‑solving by adapting knowledge and experience.
Professional manner and constructive working relationships.

Schedule: 5:45 PM to 6 AM on a 2‑2‑3 rotating shift.
Starting pay at $27.00 /hr with two pay increases in the first year up to $1.00.
$1.50 shift differential plus double time on Sunday.
