Job Summary The Aviation Maintenance Technician (AMT) is responsible for maintaining, inspecting, and repairing company aircraft to ensure airworthiness, safety, and regulatory compliance. This role supports corporate flight operations by performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, troubleshooting systems, and coordinating with OEMs, vendors, and regulatory authorities. The AMT ensures aircraft are ready for safe, efficient missions supporting company executives and operational needs.
Key Responsibilities ✈️ Aircraft Maintenance
Perform inspections, repairs, and preventative maintenance on company aircraft (e.g., Gulfstream, Challenger).
Complete all work in accordance with FAA regulations, OEM manuals, and company procedures.
Respond to discrepancies, faults, or squawks reported by flight crews and resolve them promptly.
Regulatory Compliance & Documentation
Maintain accurate maintenance records in accordance with FAA Part 91 and company policy.
Ensure timely and proper completion of aircraft logbook entries and inspection checklists.
Assist with compliance tracking for Airworthiness Directives (ADs), Service Bulletins (SBs), and regulatory updates.
Flight Readiness Support
Conduct pre-flight and post-flight inspections when aircraft are at home base or on the road.
Assist with dispatch readiness, fluid servicing, tire/brake checks, and ground power connections.
Coordinate with pilots and dispatchers to ensure aircraft are airworthy and available as scheduled.
Hangar & Ramp Operations
Maintain hangar cleanliness, equipment serviceability, and a safe working environment.
Operate ground support equipment (tugs, GPUs, ladders, lifts) safely and efficiently.
Assist with aircraft towing, fueling oversight, and storage during weather or maintenance events.
AOG & Road Trips
Travel as needed to support aircraft in AOG situations.
Coordinate with MROs or OEMs at remote locations for parts, tools, or outside labor support.
Maintain composure and problem-solving skills in high-pressure, time-critical environments.
Team Collaboration
Work closely with other maintenance technicians, pilots, and the Director of Maintenance.
Participate in maintenance meetings, safety briefings, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Contribute to the Safety Management System (SMS) through reporting and proactive maintenance practices.
Qualifications Required
FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Certificate.
3+ years of experience in corporate or general aviation maintenance.
Familiarity with modern business jet systems (e.g., avionics, pressurization, electrical, hydraulic).
Working knowledge of FAA regulations and aircraft maintenance documentation.
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as needed.
Preferred
Manufacturer training (e.g., Bombardier, Gulfstream, Textron, Dassault).
Experience with CAMP, Flightdocs, or similar maintenance tracking software.
Familiarity with IS-BAO, Part 91 requirements, or quality assurance procedures.
Electrical/avionics troubleshooting skills or IFE system experience.
Other Requirements
Ability to work variable shifts including nights, weekends, or on-call duty.
Ability to lift 70 lbs, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
High level of personal integrity, discretion, and attention to detail.
