Job at Vestis Corporation. Monday - Friday; 6am - 2:30pm (possible mandatory overtime). Paid weekly.
Overview Performs work as part of a team in an industrial laundry facility. Responsible for the safe, expeditious, and accurate handling of merchandise into and/or out of the laundry facility.
Responsibilities
Stage cart in lift table, secure safety chain, and raise the table.
Fold linen, aprons, towels, table napkins, and/or fender/seat covers.
Identify and segregate merchandise not meeting specified quality standards (rips, tears, holes, stains).
Accurately verify merchandise quantity and bundle by type.
Place bundles in correct storage bins, carts, or on shelves.
Maneuver full and empty baskets.
Maintain a safe and clean work environment and observe best practices in all production activities.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Understand all required training, written, and verbal instructions.
Apply basic math skills.
Communicate effectively, both verbal and written.
Work independently and as part of a team.
Meet attendance schedule.
Working Conditions Work is performed in a warehouse setting and regularly exposed to outside weather conditions, extreme heat and cold, dust and noise. Work is based on a shift schedule and may include weekends. Overtime required as needed.
Safety Requirements

Position involves repetitive motions over the duration of an entire shift.
Requires bending, reaching, pulling, twisting, and lifting.

Benefits Vestis offers medical, dental, vision and pension programs. Employees are eligible for 40 hours per year of vacation, 40 hours of floating holiday hours, and 40 hours of paid sick time per year. Six paid holidays are provided throughout the calendar year.
Compensation The hourly rate ranges from $16.00 per hour, depending on circumstances including skills, qualifications, degrees, certificates, prior job experience, market data and other relevant factors.
Education High‑school degree or equivalent preferred.
