Distribution - Small Parcel Shipping Coordinator Franklin International, a leading manufacturer of adhesives, coatings, and sealants, is currently seeking a Small Parcel Shipping Coordinator for our Distribution Department. This role is responsible for accurate and timely order fulfillment of small package shipments to meet internal and external customer demands.

Fundamental Job Tasks

Promote positive internal and external customer service by providing timely, safe, and accurate shipping and receiving services. Pack and wrap materials for shipment. Process and repackage damaged items. Ensure materials are available for specific small parcel products and verify shipping authorization.

Interpret DOT/Haz‑Mat Federal Regulations and assure compliance. Stay updated on federal, state, and industry regulation changes.

Lead processing of customer orders to ensure quick and accurate throughput. Order components and supplies as needed to support customer requirements. Maintain safety stock of all shipping supplies and reorder to prevent delays.

Represent Franklin and the Corporate Small Parcel Dept. by working well with others. Support Sales/Marketing and Customer Service with timely shipment updates and information. Collaborate on trade shows and special projects. Listen to internal customer requests, analyze needs, and present appropriate shipment alternatives. Provide timely reports to Manager. Coordinate day‑to‑day work center activities.

Maintain accurate records using computer systems. Record shipping documents, print reports and packing slips in Franklin’s computerized inventory systems. Release orders, remove product, confirm or cancel orders. Operate shipping computer module and add freight charges. Use the small parcel online system to prepare materials. Track packages and obtain proof of delivery.

Observe all safety and environmental guidelines while batching, packaging, and handling products, waste, and raw materials.

Knowledge and Skills High school diploma or equivalent with a minimum of two (2) years experience in a warehouse or small package shipping environment. Must be a certified forklift driver, possess knowledge of Haz‑Mat federal regulations, small parcel air restrictions, and international shipping regulations.

Working Conditions Position works in an office environment, though with an elevated noise level. Frequently requires pushing, pulling, or lifting loads and may require use of eye, ear, head and foot protection. The role involves minimal local day travel and requires a physical presence in the small package shipping area.
