STA Launch Engineer

STA Launch Engineer (Supplier Technical Assistance for New Model Vehicles) - positions offered by Ford Motor Company (Dearborn, Michigan). Note, this is a hybrid position whereby the employee will work both from home and from the Dearborn office. Hence, the employee must live within a reasonable commuting distance from Dearborn, MI. Develop the Advance Product Quality Planning (APQP) and the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) for all the New Tooled End Items for the program including Multi-Party Agreements and directs suppliers. Develop program specific NTEI file containing pertinent part number information. Load and maintain program information in the Advanced Product Quality System Leads priority supplier selection, facilitate concurrence with Product Development, Purchasing and Site Supplier Technical Assistance and notify suppliers. Train suppliers and cross functional team members on the supplier engagement process and the APQP/PPAP (Readiness Assessment. Track PPAP and Schedule A (External Supplier APQP/PPAP Readiness Assessment) status and submission requirements to the Site STA Organization and Supply Base. Provide onsite STA Launch support for Build events. Lead containment, 8D follow up, ICA / PCA activity. Domestic travel required up to 20%.
