Role Highlights Diagnose and treat retinal and vitreous disorders Perform retinal surgeries, laser procedures, and intravitreal injections Interpret OCT, fluorescein angiography, and ultrasound imaging Develop individualized treatment plans Collaborate with ophthalmologists and optometrists Maintain accurate clinical documentation Participate in clinical research and continuing education
Requirements MD or DO from an accredited institution Board Certified in Ophthalmology Completion of Retina Fellowship (Vitreoretinal Surgery or Medical Retina) Active medical license Expertise in retinal diagnostics and surgical procedures Strong communication and patient care skills
