The Opportunity This position works out of our Santa Clara, CA location in the Ventures division. Our business purpose is to restore health and improve quality of life by designing and providing device and management solutions for treating structural heart disease. We are recruiting for a Senior R&D Engineer to join our Ventures organization in Santa Clara, CA. This is a unique opportunity to join the transcatheter mitral valve replacement program that is developing a first of its kind technology solution for patients suffering from mitral valve disease who could benefit from transfemoral prosthetic mitral valve replacement. The individual who fills this role will play a pivotal part in the design, development, and testing of this TMVR delivery system from early clinical feasibility through commercialization. The candidate will be responsible for providing engineering expertise in its creation and the development of this class 3 medical device product in this desirable technology space. What You'll Work On Effectively communicate

with Injection Molding vendors to ensure high-quality production and make sure the proper considerations have been taking into account while making design decisions. Document and guide

fabrication methods selection including Catheter Metals, Braiding, Coils, and Laminations. Implement and evaluate

component changes to enhance system reliability. Execute

component and reliability engineering efforts. Coordinate

component supply chain management to ensure timely delivery. Supervise

suppliers management to maintain quality standards. Utilize

CAD modeling for precise component design. Oversee

component life cycle management to ensure longevity. Conduct and participate

D/PFMEA to identify and mitigate potential failures. Design

DOEs and execute failure analysis to resolve technical issues. Support

supplier validations to ensure compliance. Qualify

technical design changes to maintain system integrity. Manage

NCRs to address and resolve non-conformances. Required Qualifications Bachelors Degree ( 16 years) related field or an equivalent combination of education and work experience. Minimum 6 years related work experience with a strong understanding of specified functional area. Expertise using Solidworks. Terrific verbal and written communication skills. Preferred Qualifications Hands-on experience with trans-catheter heart valve delivery systems. Extensive knowledge of metals and polymers used in the catheter medical device industry. The base pay for this position is $86,700.00

$173,300.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
