We're building tools to help homeowners better understand, manage, and resolve plumbing issues in their homes. We're looking for an experienced residential plumber to join our team as a subject matter expert - someone who's seen it all, knows what to look for, and can explain things in a way people actually understand.

What this job is:

This is a remote role that puts your real-world knowledge to work. You won't be turning wrenches - you'll be:

Helping explain and diagnose common residential plumbing issues

Offering insight into causes - not just the symptoms - of things like slow drains, backups, water pressure problems, pipe failures, and more

Providing cost ranges and repair timelines (parts, labor, permitting, etc.)

Flagging what's urgent and what can wait - and what's been misdiagnosed in the past

Clarifying options based on the type of home, construction era, and materials used (e.g., galvanized vs. copper vs. PEX)

Supporting the creation of content, templates, and internal training materials

Meeting homeowners via Zoom and recording short videos or clips as needed

This job is all about diagnosis, communication, and practical insight - not being in a crawlspace with a pipe wrench.

You'd be a great fit if:

You have 3+ years of experience in residential plumbing You're a licensed plumber (or close to it - license not required if you can show deep knowledge) You've dealt with a variety of systems, materials, and issues across different housing eras You know the failure points and typical lifespan of piping, fittings, fixtures, and drainage systems You understand how plumbing issues have been misdiagnosed or poorly repaired in the past You can speak clearly and comfortably with homeowners and team members You're confident on Zoom and fine being recorded occasionally

Why this is different:

No driving job to job No wet basements or grimy crawlspaces No gear hauling - just applying your experience in a new way

Bonus points for:

Familiarity with inspection-style reports Ability to translate technical findings into clear summaries or guidance Interest in helping build tools that make it easier for homeowners to make good decisions

Location: Remote (U.S. preferred)

Schedule: Flexible
