Job Summary
Date: June 24, 2025 Position: Certified Long Term Substitute for U.S. History Location: Hewitt-Trussville High School Grade Level: 9-12 Daily Rate: $95.00 (Alabama Certified Teacher) Substitute teachers are paid for days actually worked in accordance with the pay scale established by the Trussville City Schools. Substitute teachers are not eligible for employee benefits (insurance and leave). However, a substitute teacher working more than 20 consecutive days for the same teacher will be paid an extended rate of pay starting on the 21st day. To receive the extended rate of pay, the long-term substitute must be a 4th year student intern enrolled in an approved teacher education program or hold an Alabama Teacher Certificate. Extended rate of pay will be from the certified salary schedule, Bachelor's degree, Step one.
