Position Summary

The Supervisor, Security plays a key role in supporting the daily and event-based operations of the UBS Arena security team. This position balances administrative responsibilities with hands on operational duties to ensure a safe and secure environment for guests, employees, and visiting personnel. This role pays an annual salary of $60,000-$65,000. This position will remain open until October 24, 2025. About the Venue

UBS Arena at Belmont Park is a world-class venue developed in partnership with Oak View Group, the New York Islanders, and Sterling Project Development. Hosting over 150 major events annually, UBS Arena opened during the 202122 NHL season. This $1.5 billion project brings significant economic growth including major infrastructure improvements, 10,000 construction jobs, and 3,000 permanent roles, 30 percent of which are reserved for local residents. The arena blends classic New York architecture with modern technology, set against the historic backdrop of Belmont Park. Responsibilities

Assist in overseeing day to day operations of the security team while ensuring adherence to safety protocols and standard operating procedures Support union Security Officers across all operational and event areas Maintain working knowledge of Genetec systems, camera feeds, and credentialing for staff and third-party vendors Respond promptly to security incidents, coordinating emergency responses and documenting occurrences in the Arena's 24/7 Incident Management Software Collaborate with internal departments and outside agencies including local law enforcement and client representatives Conduct routine inspections of posts and personnel to ensure professional conduct, uniform compliance, and post readiness Participate in security screening tasks such as bag checks, pat downs, perimeter walks, and crowd monitoring during events Provide guest assistance, reinforce venue policies, and communicate clearly during high-traffic or high-stress scenarios Support incident investigations and prepare detailed reports for management Serve as security manager on duty for small events to include scheduling, post assignments, event incidents, post event reports, after action reports and overall support to the event manager Qualifications

Minimum two years of experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field preferred Prior experience in a supervisory role strongly preferred Strong verbal and written communication skills Familiarity with surveillance and access control systems, Genetec experience preferred Physical stamina and ability to stand or walk for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions in high-pressure environments Willingness to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed Must be eligible to pass background checks and other required screenings Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills Customer service mindset with the ability to maintain professionalism in challenging situations Strengthened by Our Differences.
