We are looking for a Lab and Prototype Technician. This position will be based at Wendell, NC. You'll make an impact as you: Support R&D designers, Project Managers, R&D projects for setting up prototype, handling of parts, setting up test object in internal and external labs. Manage simple statistic / stock list in MS Excel or other tools. Assemble bus assemblies and structures. Wire electrical assemblies (low voltage wiring, i.e. control and power wiring). Read bills of material, follow layout, assembly, and electrical drawings. Operate forklifts and cranes to move items around the factory floor. Accept and manage large scope of different working tasks. Follow safety rules. Work with hand and power tools. Use a drill press, vertical bandsaw, and grinder/belt sander safely. Minimum Education Required

Technician Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities

You'll win us over by having the following qualifications: Basic Qualifications: 5+ years of experience in either electrical or mechanical R&D. Ability to understand electrical and mechanical technical drawings, specifications, and data sheets. Knowledge of maintenance means and methods for electrical/mechanical equipment. Ability to frequently push, pull, lift and/or carry up to 10 pounds and occasionally push, pull, lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds. Working knowledge of current Microsoft Office applications. Travel within USA and Mexico, at times greater than one week if necessary. Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship. Preferred Qualifications: 2+ years of experience in high voltage, utility scale electrical/mechanical equipment assembly. Strong interpersonal skills. Ability to work in a team environment. Experience reading and using JT files. Fluent in Spanish. About Siemens

Siemens offers a variety of health and wellness benefits to our employees. The pay range for this position is $49,910 - $85,560 annually. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location. Location
