Cost Estimation: Analyze project plans, drawings, and specifications to prepare accurate cost estimates for materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor services. Bid Preparation: Develop comprehensive bid proposals, including cost breakdowns, timelines, and scope of work, to submit to potential clients or stakeholders. Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to gather information, ensure accurate costing, and address any project-specific requirements. Risk Analysis: Identify potential risks and uncertainties in the project scope or budget, providing recommendations for mitigation strategies. Market Research: Stay informed about industry trends, material costs, and labor rates to ensure estimates are competitive and reflect current market conditions. Cost Control: Monitor project costs throughout the construction phase, comparing estimates to actual expenses, and making adjustments as needed to maintain profitability. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed records of estimates, proposals, contracts, and change orders, ensuring proper documentation and compliance with project requirements. Client Communication: Communicate with clients to clarify project details, adjust estimates as needed, and provide ongoing updates on cost and project scope changes. BS degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or Project Management preferred Minimum one year of experience in the building/construction/property industry Experience with conceptual estimating preferred Ground up project knowledge and experience What's on Offer
