SUMMARY
Receives payment for service, parts and sales transactions, schedules service appointments, mainages service loaners, answers phones and plays a key role in maintaining or creating customer satisfaction.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Essential Duties include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Answer phones and transfer calls to the correct extension
Greets customers at the cashier desk in a pleasant and professional manner.
Computes customer bills.
Receives cash, checks and credit card payments from customers; records amount received on the daily log
Makes change and issues receipts to customers.
Provides cash refunds or credit memorandums to customers for returned merchandise.
Operates cash drawer
Reconciles cash drawer daily.
Refers customers who have questions about the work performed, additional maintenance, or repairs, etc. to the service advisor or other appropriate individual.
Handles customer complaints with integrity and poise and, when necessary, refers dissatisfied customers to the appropriate individuals for resolution.
Maintains and files repair orders, parts invoices, rental forms and lists any missing documents
Creates, maintains and files all deal jackets and lists any missing items or documentation
Closes all open invoices.
Maintains the gas cards and keeps all necessary documentation for the daily deposit
Assists service and parts department with telephone coverage.
Provides clerical and secretarial assistance to parts and service departments as needed.
Works with department manager to keep abreast of new products and services offered, their features and value, specials and recalls
Calls special order parts customers and records notes in system
Schedules all service appointments
Verifies customer contact information and vehicle information is correct.
Maintains the dealer plates and makes sure the logs are updated at all time.
Maintains a professional appearance.
Keeps work area neat and clean.
Performs other duties as assigned.
