Planner Scheduler
We are seeking a dedicated Planner/Scheduler to support our operations. This role involves interpreting work specifications and drawings to develop resource-loaded schedules and time-oriented work package networks. Additionally, the Planner/Scheduler will manage manpower information using Microsoft Project, EVM Software, and the Integrated Management System while maintaining status updates through interviews. Responsibilities: Interpret work specifications and drawings to formulate schedules. Develop resource-loaded schedules and time-oriented work package networks. Utilize Microsoft Project, EVM Software, and the Integrated Management System for manpower management. Conduct status updates through progressing and interviews. Essential Skills: Knowledge of Navy ship operations, maintenance, and repair. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, manuals, memoranda, and sketches. Effective writing and editing skills. Understanding and application of standard planning and scheduling methodologies and tools. Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Open Plan or Primavera, and other PC skills including Windows, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint. Thorough knowledge of Earned Value Management System (EVMS). US Citizenship is required. Ability to acquire a DBIDS credential. Additional Skills & Qualifications: Experience with government contracting, specifically DOD contracts. Experience in the shipyard industry is a plus. High School Diploma or equivalent. Work Environment: The position is based in a bay front location with working hours from 6am-2:30pm, Monday to Friday. The work environment is fast-paced and dynamic, requiring flexibility and adaptability to work with diverse personalities. The role includes both office work and occasional visits to the shipyard. Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $85000.00 - $120000.00/yr. Competitive benefits, compensation etc. Workplace Type: This is a fully onsite position in San Diego, CA.
