DESCRIPTION:

POSITION SUMMARY

Salary $55,000-$70,000; Dependent upon experience. Production Shift Supervisor will carry out all responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Directly supervises approximately 15-30 employees. Third Shift Production Schedule is Sunday - Thursday, occasional Fridays from 10:30 pm - 6:30 am.

WHAT DOES A TYPICAL DAY LOOK LIKE IN THIS ROLE? Maintains a presence on the manufacturing floor of at least 80% of the workday. Shift Safety Champion

Insure all employees are adhering to plant safety policies and procedures. Perform shift safety and accident investigations. Assemble and lead team to root cause and improve safety issues or concerns. Complete appropriate safety documentation. Conduct monthly and ongoing Safety programs.

Leadership

Ability to approach others in a tactful manner. Reacts well under pressure. Treats others with respect and consideration regardless of their status or position. Accepts responsibility for own actions, follows through on commitments. Maintains confidentiality, resolves conflict.

Develop employee's skills and efficiency.

Train, coach, and assist employees learning job requirement. Evaluate employee performance to standards and created development plans for continuing development. Make recommendations on employee promotions, demotion, raised, and secession planning.

Monitor and track shift quality and production.

Analyze quality performance to quality metrics. Determine root cause of quality issues. Develop corrective action and implement. Schedule Manning based on production needs. Analyze shift manning and monitor performance to labor metrics. Reconcile employees' hours to ensure accurate record keeping of hours worked

Interact with all departments to resolve both production and customer issues.

SUCCESSFUL PEOPLE IN THIS ROLE HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS

Proven experience in Production ManufacturingManagement or a related field. Strong leadership and supervisory skills with a demonstrated ability to motivate and develop teams. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills. Exceptional organizational and time management skills with a focus on meeting deadlines. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Education and/or Experience High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
