Senior EHS Analyst
Eaton's ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Senior EHS Analyst. This role will support our growing operations in Hodges, SC. The Senior Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Analyst provides environmental, health, safety, and security support to the Hodges site. This position is accountable for supporting EHS activities at plant including monitoring EHS objectives and targets, internal reporting of EHS performance, ensures plant level EHS programs, policies, procedures, and systems are developed, implemented and sustained to ensure compliance with local, state and federal regulatory requirements and conformance with Eaton Corporation mandates. This position is also responsible to maintain site ISO certification and MESH compliance along with supporting the creation of strong EHS culture that engages employees throughout the site. The expected annual salary range for this role is $83,250.0 - $122,100.0 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program. What you'll do: Drives and promotes zero incident EHS culture throughout site MESH Champions and leads projects designed to effectively drive improvements in our "Zero Incident Safety Culture" program(s) Assist with the implementation of MESH (Management System of Environmental, Safety, Security and Health) and utilize the MESH tools to drive improvements Support the function in EHS data analysis, data management, reporting and training while providing technical expertise to the organization Champion 2 MESH programs individually Support tracking of appropriate leading and lagging indicators to track EHS performance Support EHS engagement through EHS teams and committees needed to accomplish the established targets and objectives for the year Act as the Environmental Health & Safety Management Representative for all 3rd party certifications and manage the internal audit programs Support Corporate Compliance Audit Program, including assisting locations to close audit findings, assesses appropriateness of corrective and preventive actions, etc. Reviews site environmental permits and ensure terms and conditions are understood and complied with, ensures required documentation is maintained and required regulatory reports are submitted to the respective agency, e.g., air discharge permits, storm water discharge permits Champion the MESH MOC process, this will include mentoring employees who perform a variety of engineering work in designing, installing, operating, and maintaining measuring apparatus necessary to determine the level of pollutants involving air, land and water Evaluate jobs for possible ergonomic improvements (body mechanics, lifts, hoists, manipulators, etc.) and implement this work design changes Actively investigate all accidents and near misses, identifies root causes, and ensures corrective actions are implemented. Will assist Operations in 8D analysis on all recordable accidents Motivate and coach employees to maintain high levels of satisfaction, productivity, and quality through effectively utilizing available rewards and recognition channels to encourage and promote desired behaviors and results Partner directly with the site EHS Manager on site strategy and occupational development for succession roles Minimum Education Required: Bachelors Job Category: Analyst Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities: Required (Basic) Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution. 3 or more years of related work experience in a safety/environmental role in a manufacturing environment. Skills: Knowledge of ISO 14001 and OSHA regulations Demonstrated success in leading, planning, development, and implementation of EHS management systems and compliance programs Ability to interact effectively with all levels in an organization, while establishing and maintaining a strong EHS presence Experience working in a manufacturing environment and ability to engage across all areas of the plant. Lean fundamental understanding Proficient with Microsoft Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint Experience working with all functional levels of a business, including organizational leaders. Strong verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to make independent judgments on technical issues. Ability and willingness to serve as delegated authority for department on a consistent basis, including acting as primary emergency coordinator.
