ICU RNs provide highly specialized care to patients who suffer from a serious injury or illness. ICU RNs need to keep watch over people whose condition may undergo rapid changes as well as care for those who are often too ill to care for themselves in even the most basic capacity. ICU RNs work in the ICU unit of a hospital, sometimes called Critical Care. ICU RNs may be asked to float to PCU or Tele. *Per Diem Assignments Available Recent Experience and Flexible Schedule Required. Requirements: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN): 4-Year Education Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN): 2-Year Education You must earn an ADN or BSN degree and pass the NCLEX to apply for a license as a RN. RNs can only work with an active state license. ACLS and CRRT are often required
