Senior Security Officer
Sentara Princess Anne Hospital is hiring a Senior Security Officer in Virginia Beach, VA. This is a full-time day shift position with 40 hours per week. The Team Leader in Security serves as a resource for team members; performs departmental work assignments, acts as a process-owner/technical expert for Security; provides guidance to less experienced security officers. Performs other duties as assigned. To bolster safety and security for our patients and team members, Sentara has implemented a Fit for Duty assessment to ensure that our officers meet a minimum standard of fitness. The four-part assessment includes a response walk, a stair climb, a drag to safety, and a lift. Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent Certification/Licensure: Valid Drivers License with an acceptable driving record Certified Healthcare Security Officer (CHSO) certification by International Association for Healthcare Security & Safety (IAHSS) must be successfully obtained within 90 days of hire. Experience: One year of security experience; former military, law enforcement, or security officer experience preferred; de-escalation and physical intervention training completed within 180 days of hire.
