About the job:
This role supports new product builds by assembling first-piece and prototype wire harnesses with high precision and minimal supervision.
We're looking for someone who: •Has 2-5 years of recent hands-on experience in wire harness assembly •Is highly skilled in soldering, crimping, stripping, and mechanical assembly •Understands IPC/WHMA-A-620 workmanship standards •Can read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and BOMs •Is comfortable mentoring junior team members and collaborating cross-functionally •Has strong time management and attention to detail •Can lift up to 25 lbs and work in a hands-on production environment
What you'll do: •Assemble first-piece and prototype harnesses using technical drawings and work instructions •Apply quality standards and inspect own work using visual aids and checklists •Support new product introduction (NPI) by providing feedback on documentation and build process •Identify design, documentation, or tooling issues and escalate as needed •Set up workstations and verify part counts before builds •Contribute to continuous improvement efforts and maintain organized, safe work areas •Train and mentor newer assemblers on build quality and best practices •Perform basic testing, such as pull tests, as needed
