What You'll Do Leading and mentoring mechanics and preventative maintenance technicians Coordinating maintenance schedules and assigning work across shop personnel Overseeing diagnostics, repairs, and testing of trucks and heavy equipment Managing inventory and securing cost-effective vendor pricing Handling emergency road calls and coordinating outside service when needed Supporting financial forecasting and maintaining departmental budgets Ensuring compliance with DOT and corporate safety standards Communicating regularly with the Region Maintenance Manager Requirements 5+ years of experience in truck, light, or heavy equipment maintenance (waste industry a plus) Strong knowledge of air brake, hydraulic, and electrical systems Proven leadership and team development skills Working knowledge of DOT compliance High School Diploma or equivalent (Trade/Technical School preferred) Benefits Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance Flexible Spending Account (FSA) Long & Short-Term Disability Life Insurance 401(k) with company match Waste Connections is an equal opportunity employer.
