Unarmed Security Officer- Access Control

As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to maintain a secure and welcoming environment at a women's shelter location. Your responsibilities will include monitoring entry and exit points, conducting routine patrols throughout the premises, and remaining highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will interact with residents, staff, and visitors, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication while upholding the values of reliability, integrity, and teamwork. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTime Tue 01:30 AM - 08:30 AM Wed 01:30 AM - 08:30 AM Thur 01:30 AM - 08:30 AM Fri 06:30 PM - 01:30 AM Sat 06:30 PM - 01:30 AM What You'll Do: Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise Responsibilities: Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities. Monitor and control access to the location, verifying identification and permissions for entry and exit. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner. Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity. Document and report any security-related incidents, observations, or concerns according to Allied Universal protocols. Communicate professionally with staff, visitors, and residents to address questions and provide assistance as needed. Support a welcoming and orderly environment by following established protocols and maintaining a visible presence. What We're Looking For: Availability across various days and shifts Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available Minimum Requirements: Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
