Full-Scope Family Medicine Physician (MD/DO)
Position Summary
The Full-Scope Family Medicine Physician provides comprehensive, continuous medical care to patients of all ages, from pediatrics through geriatrics. This role includes outpatient primary care and may include inpatient care, obstetrics, newborn care, and minor procedures, depending on community and practice needs. The physician emphasizes preventive care, chronic disease management, and coordination of care across the healthcare continuum.
Key Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive primary care to individuals and families across the lifespan
Diagnose, treat, and manage acute and chronic medical conditions
Perform routine physical examinations, preventive screenings, and health risk assessments
Provide women’s health services and basic gynecologic care
Provide prenatal care, labor and delivery, and postpartum care (if applicable)
Provide inpatient medical care, including rounding and admissions (if applicable)
Perform office-based and hospital-based procedures within scope of training
Provide newborn care, including routine nursery coverage (if applicable)
Prescribe medications and treatments in accordance with evidence-based guidelines
Order, interpret, and review diagnostic tests and imaging
Educate patients and families on health maintenance, disease prevention, and lifestyle modification
Coordinate care with specialists, hospitals, and ancillary services
Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant medical documentation in the electronic health record
Participate in call coverage, quality improvement initiatives, and clinical meetings as required
Qualifications
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)
Completion of an accredited Family Medicine residency program
Board eligible or board certified in Family Medicine
Active or eligible state medical license
DEA registration or eligibility

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in diverse clinical settings
Work Environment
Outpatient clinic with potential inpatient, obstetric, and emergency coverage
Schedule and call responsibilities vary by practice model
Rural, community, or hospital-affiliated settings may apply
Compensation & Benefits
