Pediatric Endocrinologist – AdventHealth for Children, Orlando, Florida
Overview The Walt Disney Pavilion at AdventHealth for Children is looking for a Pediatric Endocrinologist to join our outstanding program in Orlando, Florida. Working with an expanding and committed children's hospital, an established and successful pediatric endocrinology group of four physicians and four ARNPs, a pediatric residency program, strong hospitalist, NICU, ICU services, and a family‑centered practice atmosphere, the position offers the opportunity to build and shape a program and a competitive benefits/compensation package.
Responsibilities
High volume outpatient clinics with a wide variety of patients from age 0‑18.
Outreach clinics (currently providing care at four locations).
Inpatient coverage in equal rotation with other group members.
Potential to develop a subspecialty niche based on physician interest.
Utilize the dedicated area for hormone testing, including full spectrum of dynamic hormonal testing and infusions.
Collaborate with diabetes program (five nurse CDEs, a dietitian CDE), two social workers, and a growth hormone coordinator.
Requirements
Diplomate of American Board of Pediatrics.
Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Endocrinology (or board eligible).
Active Florida license, or ability to obtain.
Strong communication skills.
Patient‑first mindset with collegial team approach.
Hospital Description AdventHealth for Children is a full‑service, tertiary children's hospital with over 270 dedicated pediatric beds, 30+ pediatric ICU beds, a 120‑bed NICU, 17‑bed pediatric emergency department, and a statewide pediatric network and transport system. It hosts comprehensive pediatric open‑heart, head and neck, thyroid cancer, level IV epilepsy, BMT, and solid organ transplant programs, and serves as a regional referral center.
Location Outpatient center near the AdventHealth for Children campus, close to downtown Orlando and its attractions such as Universal Studios, Walt Disney World, and vibrant local communities.
