Overview ob Summary The Finance Director will report directly to the Group CFO and partner closely with the Country Manager. This is a senior leadership role responsible for establishing the full finance function of the Egypt entity, ensuring robust governance, accurate reporting, compliance, and strategic financial leadership in a fast-growing, start-up environment. The role requires both hands-on execution and strong strategic capability, with direct influence on commercial decisions, pricing, profitability, and long-term business planning.

Key Responsibilities

Act as the senior finance leader for the Egyptian market, partnering with the Country Manager and HQ to drive commercial strategy and operational decisions.

Build the full finance function, including policies, processes, internal controls, and reporting structure.

Deliver financial insights, profitability analysis, cost optimization, and scenario modelling to support pricing, investments, and market development.

Ensure accurate financial records in full compliance with local regulations and IFRS.

Lead monthly, quarterly and year-end closing activities and prepare all statutory and management financial reports.

Manage budgeting, forecasting, KPI tracking, and financial performance dashboards.

Ensure full tax compliance and manage relationships with tax advisors and auditors.

Lead cash flow management, liquidity planning and working capital optimization.

Manage treasury activities, banking relationships and FX exposure.

Oversee external partners such as audit firms, outsourced accounting providers, tax consultants and legal advisors.

Implement strong internal controls, governance and risk management processes.

Support HQ reporting, consolidation needs and alignment with Group policies.

Build and lead a high‑performing local finance team as the organization grows.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA/ACCA/CIMA preferred.

Minimum 8–10 years of relevant finance experience, including strong exposure to financial control, reporting and business partnering.

Big 4 audit background is a strong plus.

Experience in FMCG, distribution, consumer goods or similar industries preferred.

Experience in startup, market entry or scale‑up environments is highly advantageous.

Strong understanding of accounting principles and IFRS reporting standards.

Advanced Excel and financial modelling capability.

Fluency in English is required.

Strong stakeholder management skills and experience partnering with senior leadership.
