Our client, in higher education, is seeking a Senior Storage Engineer-CEPH to join their team. As a Senior Storage Engineer, you will be part of the Research Technology Services department supporting the High Speed Research Network. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent project management abilities, and a solid work ethic which will align successfully in the organization.

What's the Job?
Assist with the deployment and configuration of the Ceph file system and RADOS object gateway.
Monitor and troubleshoot performance issues with the file systems, clients, or the underlying infrastructure.
Integrate Ceph with the existing backup solution to enhance data protection.
Write comprehensive documentation for the cluster setup for both internal and external use.
Analyze researchers’ use cases and provide guidance to optimize their workflows.
What's Needed?
At least one year of experience with Ceph and the Ceph file system.
Advanced knowledge of Linux system administration and performance monitoring.
Ability to communicate technical information to a non-technical audience.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, particularly in conveying technical information to non-technical audiences.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal direction.
Familiarity with networking concepts such as the OSI model, DNS, and load balancing.
