5‑month contract (with strong possibility of extension)

Max Bill Rate:

$80/hr on W2

Experience Required:

5–8 years (overall role requirement)

12–15 years total IT experience (preferred for senior‑level architectural depth)

Role Overview The Solutions Architect will play a critical role in designing, governing, and validating enterprise‑grade solutions across Digital, Retail, E‑commerce, B2B, and Data domains. This role works closely with the Enterprise Architecture team, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards, architectural governance, and demand management processes—leveraging platforms such as ServiceNow.

Key Responsibilities Technical Leadership, Architecture & Governance

Provide technical leadership and architectural guidance to development teams

Ensure adherence to enterprise architecture standards, principles, and best practices

Participate in defining, implementing, and managing architectural governance frameworks

Manage and support the Architecture Review Board (ARB) process, ensuring solutions are reviewed, approved, and compliant

Proactively collaborate with Solution Architects across other domains (Retail, Digital, Data, etc.) to review architectural proposals

Establish and enforce architectural standards, reusable patterns, and frameworks

Conduct architecture and design reviews to ensure quality, scalability, security, and compliance

Identify, manage, and mitigate technical risk and technical debt

Demand & Operational Process Management

Manage architectural demand intake and prioritization using ServiceNow

Optimize approval workflows, portfolio tracking, and governance processes

Support ITSM/ITBM‑aligned operational governance activities

Communication & Stakeholder Engagement

Clearly communicate architectural strategies, decisions, and governance policies to technical and non‑technical stakeholders

Act as a trusted advisor to business leaders and technology teams

Bridge business requirements with scalable, secure technical solutions

Required Qualifications Professional Experience

12–15 years of progressive experience in Solution Architecture

5–7 years in a Senior or Principal Solution Architect role

Industry Experience

Strong experience in Retail, E‑commerce (B2C), and B2B environments

Deep understanding of digital platforms, customer journeys, and enterprise‑scale systems

Data & Integration Expertise

Data architecture experience including:

Data warehouses & data lakes

ETL / ELT pipelines

Relational & NoSQL databases

Data streaming platforms

Architecture Governance & Enterprise Collaboration

Proven experience defining and managing architectural governance processes

Hands‑on experience with ITSM frameworks and ServiceNow

Strong collaboration with Enterprise Architecture teams and enterprise roadmaps

Technical Skills

Software architecture principles and design patterns

Microservices

APIs

Event‑driven architectures

E‑commerce platforms (e.g., Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Adobe Commerce)

Cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, GCP (deep expertise in at least one)

Salesforce ecosystem integration

Sales Cloud

Service Cloud

Marketing Cloud

ServiceNow (Demand Management, Service Catalog, ITSM/ITBM modules)

DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and automation

Application & data security, regulatory compliance (GDPR, CCPA)

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field

Master’s degree preferred
