Job Title:
Maintenance & Environmental Services (EVS) Supervisor
Job Summary:
Ensure the facility environment, grounds, and equipment are maintained in safe, operational condition while also overseeing environmental cleanliness and infection-control standards. This role combines traditional maintenance responsibilities with supervision of EVS staff to provide a safe, clean, and well-functioning environment for residents, staff, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure the facility environment, grounds, and equipment are maintained in good, safe operating order.
Supervise maintenance assistants and EVS staff to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations regarding safety, sanitation, and infection control.
Maintain and complete all required daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and semi-annual services/testing as directed in the maintenance handbook (e.g., water temperatures, exit lighting checks, generator testing, fire and smoke alarm testing).
Monitor all facility means of egress (exits) daily to assure they are free from obstructions.
Assure the proper operation of all resident call lights and emergency systems.
Monitor completion of all maintenance and cleaning work logs to ensure timely and thorough completion of repairs, preventive maintenance, and environmental cleaning tasks.
Maintain inventory of maintenance and EVS supplies, ensuring consistent availability in accordance with the facility budget.
Perform hands‑on maintenance and cleaning tasks as needed to support staff and ensure facility standards are met.
Promote a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for residents, staff, and visitors.
