Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Collaborate closely with regional leadership on developing and executing on an operations strategy to ensure best‑in‑class facilities across the regional portfolio

In close coordination with the asset services team, manage third‑party engineering contracts, vendors and contractors to ensure mission‑critical operations and maintenance of laboratory buildings.

Develop and implement five‑year capital plans for highly technical facilities.

Develop, maintain, and manage standard operating procedures for new and existing assets, ensuring compliance and a systematic approach to all assets.

Manage competing priorities and allocate and optimize time to ensure targets and timelines are met.

Manage and coordinate vendors in response to service requests by tenants for minor repairs and general facility renovations.

Oversee technology support for buildings, ensuring systems are properly maintained and functioning efficiently.

Ensuring that vendors maintain accurate maintenance repair logs and records utilizing company systems.

Recommend capital improvements and operational changes for existing facilities to further corporate sustainability.

Arrange proper communication with tenants to ensure maintenance and repairs are handled properly and efficiently.

Provide or assist in technical support for facilities maintenance working with vendors to maintain building equipment & systems.

Provide or assist in monitoring/troubleshooting building mechanical systems and security systems with some on‑call responsibilities.

Provide or assist in the planning and implementation of capital construction projects, as they relate to building support and maintenance.

Coordinate with tenants, tenant contractors and landlord’s contractors to minimize disruptions or loss of essential services ensuring completion of TI and capital projects.

Qualifications and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction, or related technical field

Extensive knowledge of building systems, systems commissioning, and systems design

15+ years of relevant experience

Working knowledge of property management, building design and/or real estate, with an interest in lab space

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Familiarity with CADD, BMS systems and maintenance work request systems

Client service orientation and a collaborative work style with cross‑functional colleagues

High attention to detail and excellent organizational skills

Ability to work on multiple projects

Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills, with ability to follow directions effectively.

Knowledge of thermal metering and other utility sub‑metering systems.

Salary The expected base salary range for this position is $200,000 to $230,000 USD annually, plus annual discretionary bonus. This salary range is an estimate, and the actual salary may vary based on the consideration of many factors, which may include, but are not limited to: the individual’s knowledge, experience, education, qualifications, skills, job location, and the Company’s compensation practices.
