Job Description We are hiring a regional delivery driver based in Indianapolis, IN. The final mile delivery driver will work closely with dedicated Andersen customers to safely unload and deliver our products. This position requires safe driving, trip planning, material handling, decision making, problem solving, flexibility, and top‑notch customer service. Shift: Monday–Friday. Work every weekend. Dedicated Andersen Freight – regional delivery routes with only 2–3 nights out per week. Eligible for overtime over 40 hours. Hourly pay plus incentives, quarterly profit sharing, paid uniform, boot program, and training with an experienced driver. Primary Responsibilities Drive tractor‑trailer to destinations in accordance with Federal regulations. Apply knowledge of commercial driving and skills in maneuvering vehicle at varying speed in difficult situations. Maintain records required for compliance with State and Federal regulations, including driver logs and mileage records. Perform all duties in accordance with company policies and comply with all Federal, State, and local regulations for safe operation of a commercial motor vehicle. Able to answer questions regarding packing lists, invoices, packaging and material content. Safely assist in the loading and unloading of the product to customer’s location and or return products. Handle windows and doors when required. Perform frequent lifting, pulling, pushing, and carrying of windows and doors of varying weights. Qualification And Skill Requirements Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License. Minimum of 2 years of previous tractor‑trailer driving experience, including winter driving and acceptable accident and moving violation history within Motor Vehicle Record. Effective communication skills; basic skills in reading, writing and mathematics. Ability to follow directions via on‑board computer system and by phone. Working knowledge of vehicle safety and control systems; knowledge of DOT regulations governing safe driving, hours of service, vehicle inspection and maintenance. Meet the medical standards of the DOT, including satisfactory passing of a DOT drug screen. Physical Requirements Ability to sit and remain alert while driving for extended periods of time. Ability to shift manual transmission and operate foot pedals. Ability to perform frequent squatting or crouching to handle position and secure windows and doors. Able to perform frequent pushing or pulling of windows and doors weighing up to 100 pounds on a dolly or cart. Able to frequently carry windows and doors weighing up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds. Able to frequently reach for cargo above shoulder level, at waist level, and below waist level. Able to hook/unhook various commercial vehicle combinations, manually lower and raise landing gear, operate the fifth wheel lever, lock and release pintle‑hooks, attach and release safety chains, open and close cargo doors, fuel vehicles and check engine oil coolant levels. Compensation Pay is based on factors such as work experience, education, geographic location, certifications, etc. Successful candidates are expected to earn $34.35 hourly.
