We are a tight knit team dedicated to patient-first care and have earned a loyal patient base. Responsibilities Greet and prepare patients for dental procedures. Assist dentists during procedures, including handing instruments, suctioning, and maintaining a clear field of operation. Take dental X-rays and store electronic images as directed by the dentist. Demonstrate proficiency in provisional/temporary contouring and adaptation as well as matrix band placing and wedging. Sterilize and organize dental instruments and equipment in compliance with infection control protocols. Prepare dental materials, such as impression compounds, cements, and composites. Maintain accurate patient records, including charting and updating treatment information. Educate patients on post-procedure care, oral hygiene practices, and preventive dental care. Manage dental supplies inventory and order replacements as needed. Schedule appointments and handle billing or insurance documentation when necessary. Ensure the dental operatory is clean, organized, and ready for the next patient. Experience and Qualifications Graduation from an accredited Dental Assisting program (preferred). Continuing education in advanced dental procedures, such as orthodontic or oral surgery assistance, is a plus. State licensure or certification as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) or Certified Dental Assistant (CDA), if required. CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
