Seasonal Tax Preparer (Busy Season) Base pay range $30.00/hr - $60.00/hr Overtime 1.5x pay for overtime hours Benefits No benefits (seasonal role) About the role We’re looking for a seasonal tax preparer to help us through busy season. You’ll work with individuals and closely held businesses, support return preparation, and help keep our workflow moving efficiently while maintaining quality. What you’ll do Prepare 1040 returns (multi-state as needed; rentals; Schedule C/E/F; K-1 input) Prepare business returns as experience allows: 1120-S, 1065, 1120 and related state filings Organize and process client tax documents (SmartVault/portal and internal workflow tools) Support basic bookkeeping/tax clean-up items when needed (QBO, year-end adjustments) Communicate professionally with clients for missing items and clarifications Work on-site with a team that values responsiveness, quality, and relationships What we’re looking for Tax preparation experience (paid preparer experience strongly preferred) Comfortable preparing 1040s; business returns a plus Familiarity with Lacerte preferred (or similar professional tax software) Detail-oriented, reliable, and able to manage deadlines during peak weeks Strong communication skills and a good team attitude Overtime may be available/required during peak weeks and is paid at 1.5x Seniority level Mid-Senior level Employment type Part-time Job function Accounting/Auditing Industries Accounting Additional Benefits Medical insurance Vision insurance Pension plan #J-18808-Ljbffr
