Overview VISA STATUS: US CITIZEN AND GREEN CARD. This is a 3 month contract with the possibility of extension. Must have clear and proficient written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities Senior Linux System Administration support with skills in:

RedHat/CentOS & Ubuntu system administration

Major and minor OS upgrade

Scripting languages, including bash and Python

Ansible automation

Git repository management

VMware/deployment methods

Physical server maintenance, include iDRAC

Implementing system security best practices

Authentication protocols/methods including KRB, SSSD, A/D, LDAP

Contractor Tasks

Individual Systems Update (100+ Systems)

Security

Uninstall FireEye HX agent

Install/configure M.S. Defender

Review/implement 3rd party recommendationsli>

Scheduled jobs analysis

Validate/analyze boot files (inittab, systemd, rc.x)

Compare /home to passwd file

Review/convert chronyd configurations

Migrate Ubuntu Desktops to current version (10 Systems)

Upgrade/migrate Linux servers to latest OS (10 Systems)

Ansible bash-to-yaml conversion

Review/Improve logging (syslog-ng)

Review A/D integration (Kerberos with SSSD; LDAPS; OUs)

Replace SSL Certificates (20 Systems)
