Senior Network Engineer & Data Center Manager

Requirements
Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in computer hardware, software, and networking systems, as well as in the setup, configuration, usage, and troubleshooting of computer systems.
Proven experience in diagnosing and resolving issues related to data storage, network connectivity, Active Directory accounts and security groups, third-party software, VDIs, desktops, thin clients, printers, scanners, fax machines, and MFDs.
Experience in managing and updating customer tickets within a ticketing system.
Excellent customer service skills and practices.
Experience in contributing to a service desk technical knowledge base.
Compliance with DoD 8570.01‑M/8140.01 and possession of CompTIA Security+ certification.
Responsibilities
Act as the Data Center Manager/Senior Network Engineer at the customer’s primary data center.
Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance inspections (daily/weekly/monthly) of the primary data center’s environment and the hardware supporting the network and core services; document environmental findings and report them to leadership.
Provide assistance to the end-user community regarding complex hardware, software, and networking issues, questions, and usage.
Oversee installations, technology refreshes, and maintenance of all IT hardware supporting the customer’s Top-Secret Network.
Resolve unusual issues for users; if unable to diagnose the problem, work with service desk management or Tier 3 to find a solution.
Ensure core services are functioning to serve the customer base from the primary data center, and assist with failover procedures to the alternate data center as needed. This includes functional testing and real-world scenarios for core services such as Exchange (email), File Services, Print Services, SharePoint Services, and others based on availability and site reduction needs.
Address trouble tickets and customer support calls, providing high-level assistance to the end-user community concerning hardware, software, and network-related inquiries.
