Role Overview We are seeking an experienced

API Business Development Manager – B2B Travel

to drive the acquisition, onboarding, and growth of B2B partners consuming hotel inventory via API. This role focuses on new client acquisition, commercial negotiations, API go-lives, and scaling booking volumes across assigned markets.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in

B2B hotel distribution, API-driven travel platforms, and enterprise sales .

Key Responsibilities API Partner Acquisition

Identify, acquire, and onboard new B2B API partners including OTAs, travel technology platforms, wholesalers, DMCs, and TMCs

Manage the full sales lifecycle from lead generation to commercial closure

Expand API distribution across assigned source markets

Commercial Negotiation

Negotiate commercials including commissions, overrides, volumes, and SLAs

Ensure agreements align with revenue and margin objectives

Coordinate pricing and approvals with internal stakeholders

API Integration & Go-Live

Act as the commercial SPOC between partners and internal product/tech teams

Coordinate API documentation, UAT completion, and production go-live

Ensure successful client activation with at least one confirmed booking

Revenue & Performance Management

Track performance metrics including booking volume, revenue, and conversion

Drive growth initiatives for live API partners

Conduct regular performance and optimization reviews

Market & Product Feedback

Monitor competitor APIs, pricing models, and market trends

Provide structured feedback to product and technology teams for enhancements

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Number of new API clients onboarded

Successful API go-lives completed

Client scalability, retention, and margin contribution

Required Skills & Qualifications Must-Have

Minimum

6+ years

of experience in

B2B hotel distribution & API sales

Strong understanding of

hotel supply chains and pricing models

Proven success in closing

enterprise-level B2B deals

Excellent negotiation and relationship-management skills

Stable career history (minimum 2 years per organization preferred)

Valid

work authorization to work in Spain

Nice-to-Have

Experience working with global hotel suppliers or aggregators

Exposure to high-volume, API-driven travel platforms

Monthly Fixed Salary + Variable Compensation

Go-Live Incentive:

One-time payment per successful new API client go-live

Performance-Based Quarterly Volume Bonus

linked to net booking volume

Incentives subject to margin, compliance, and performance criteria

(Compensation structure may be reviewed periodically based on business needs. )
